Frequently Asked Questions: Dog Waste Removal Service
How does the dog waste removal service work?
It is best explained here.
How do I sign up for service?
You can set up a request for service by emailing us or calling. If emailing please include the your address, phone #, first and last name, and # of pets. Or fill out the online form.
What is an Initial Cleaning/One Time Cleaning?
An Initial Cleaning is the first cleaning every new client receives. An Initial Cleaning costs more than regular weekly service because yards usually have a build up of dog poop on the first service day than on weekly recurring cleanings. An One Time Cleaning is for clients who do not request continuing service.
When is payment due?
Initial and One Time Cleanings are due within 24hrs.
Payment for services is due in advance. When starting service, you will pay for the Initial Cleaning plus the first month of service. The first month may be pro-rated depending on when, within the month, the service started. Payments for pet waste removal are due on the 1st of the current billing month. Payments received after the 1st of the current billing month will incur a $5 reinstatement fee to be added to the route again.

Do I have to sign a Contract?
No, we do not require the signing of a contract though we do like to meet with you if possible on the first cleanup so if any questions come up they can be answered immediately.
How do I stop service?
Services are only stopped when you contact us. Dog waste cleanup services are set to recur each month. If you would like to stop service you may reply back to the emailed invoice.
Is there a Cancellation Fee?
No, you can cancel the service by phone or email, but it may take up to 48 hours for us to put in your request and remove your address from the route. If you cancel before the prepayment is fully used, we will return the unused portion to you within two weeks if you ask. If you do not ask for a refund we will treat the remaining balance as a tip to your scooper tech.
Can you work with the dog in the yard?
In most cases, yes. If you know your dog is not good with strangers, or the dog will not let us in to clean the yard, we ask that you keep him or her inside or secured in another part of the yard. We do not want to take unnecessary risks with your dog(s) or our selves.
What if I have a lock on my gate?
If you have a lock on your gate, please provide a key or the combination so that we may access your property in order to provide your requested services on your service day. The gate will be locked upon completing the yard. If locked out of your yard, we are unable to refund any money paid for service that day. We will pick up the accumulated waste on the next visit. Also, please make sure test all keys and combination locks to make sure they work and have not rusted.
What if you can’t get into the yard?
If your gate is locked/blocked and we were not provided with a key or combination or the dog(s) shows aggression and will not allow us to service the yard, you will be charged for the service call. The extra waste will be cleaned up at your next visit. If you would like us to return later that day (if were available) or the next an extra charge will apply to cover the cost to travel back to the location.
Do you work in the rain/snow?
If it is raining lightly, service will start at its regular date. For heavy rain and/or thunder storms we may delay service until conditions improve. If the storm does not lighten up, we will resume cleaning on a makeup day (usually the next day). If a makeup day is required we will contact you that day by email or by phone.
If it snows or ice forms on the roads services will be put on hold . . . so that we can play in the snow!

If you are going on vacation or would like to skip a service Contact Us 48 hours before the next service so we can place your account on hold and credit your account. If we are not notified and attempt to and/or service the yard you will be charged.
Is it OK if my lawn is mowed before you come?
Yes and No, it makes finding the waste a lot easier when the lawn is shorter. Yet, mowers also chop up the larger waste leaving pieces scattered and the wheels will smash waste into the ground. It is usually best for us to service the yard before the grass is cut. Though in tall grass all the waste may not be found.
Is dog waste good for my lawn?
Absolutely not! Dogs eat protein based food products and that turns into a acidic waste that damages your lawn. Dog waste also can contain bacteria and parasites that can be harmful to your family, pets and lawn. Not only that the dog waste will attract rodents and flies. It is also highly recommended not to consume fruit or vegetables from trees or plants where dog waste could contaminate.
What if I only want the larger dog(s) waste cleaned up?
If you are asking for us to only pickup after the larger dog(s) and leave the smaller dog waste that will not be done. We do not do this as it leaves dog waste in the yard that we would now have to avoid stepping on every-time we clean the yard. It is also, not guaranteed that the larger dog(s) did not poop some small piles. Or a mower chopped the large waste into smaller pieces.
Where do you currently service?
Currently we service all of Corpus Christi, Texas. If you live outside this area please let us know by email or phone as we may be able to service your address now or in the future.
Does yard size or dog size affect the price?
For the most part the size of the dog does not affect the price. For most homes in the city, yards are under a 1/5 acre though for yards that are larger expect an additional charge to offset the added time required to search. Also, we always reserve the right to make changes if deemed necessary.
What do you do with the dog waste?
We bag the waste and take it off your property to be disposed of in accordance with city, county and state regulations.
